In this first lesson we dive straight into one of Hofzinsers fabled “Problems”. One of many of the effects that Hofzinser proposed but never left a method for. I’m this chapter Dani explores the problem where one spectator cuts a packet, and another spectator takes two cards. The value of the two cards indicates the number of cards cut by the first spectator. Dani shares seven of his favorite solutions for this amazing effect.
Each one of the solutions to this trick is not just unique, but can be chained together into its own amazing routine. In each case the cards are apparently shuffled and the packet and indicator cards selected by the spectators seems completely random. Fortunately Dani introduces you to “The Sequence,” a special order of cards that not only give you information but also control over your spectator’s actions and choices. Every time they cut a packet of cards, someone else’s selection of two or three cards will equal the exact number of cards in the packet.
