You take the deck of cards out of the box, throw the card box up in the air to show it is empty and then close it up and put it down on the table. You then spread the cards and present the ‘poRtal’ card, which is then placed on top of the card box. Then either yourself or a spectator selects a card, the selected card is then thrown towards the ‘poRtal’ card on top of the card box and it vanishes. You then pick up the card box, open it, and inside is the selected card.
